No Kings Protests: Dallas-Fort Worth Cities Gear Up for Anti-Trump Demonstrations

Protests Planned Across North Texas Against Trump Administration

DALLAS – In response to recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, cities across North Texas are bracing for planned protests against the Trump administration this Saturday. Community leaders, particularly from Latino organizations, are urging peaceful participation in the upcoming “No Kings” demonstrations, coinciding with three significant events: Flag Day, the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, and President Trump’s birthday.

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is set to hold a press conference at Dallas City Hall on Friday to outline their expectations for the demonstrations. Roman Palomares, LULAC’s national president, emphasized the need for safety and calmness, stating, “We don’t want to have any reason for people to get hurt.”

Protests are scheduled in multiple locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area:

  • Dallas: City Hall from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Fort Worth: Burk Burnett Park from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Arlington: Sub Courthouse from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Denton: Denton Square from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Frisco: Both sides of FM 423 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • McKinney: 2025 N Central Expressway from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Flower Mound: Parker Square Gazebo from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Burleson: 100 NW John Jones Drive from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Governor Greg Abbott has mobilized National Guard troops and Department of Public Safety officers across the state to ensure safety during the protests. Local police departments, including Arlington and Burleson, are coordinating with protest organizers to facilitate peaceful assembly while maintaining public order. Officials aim to support residents’ First Amendment rights while ensuring that events proceed without incident.

For updates and information, community members are encouraged to monitor announcements from LULAC and local authorities.
