Former professional motocross racer Carey Hart is recovering after a serious injury sustained during practice. Hart, 49, shared his experience on Instagram, detailing a mishap while practicing on Thursday, which caused him to land awkwardly and severely damage his small intestine.
"I ran out of talent," he quipped, explaining how he took a handlebar to the gut during the fall. Hart expressed gratitude to those who supported him, particularly his wife, singer Pink, and friend Big B, who encouraged him to seek medical attention. He humorously acknowledged the ongoing challenges of his career, sharing a series of photos from his hospital stay, including one showing staples on his abdomen.
While in the hospital, Hart’s children, Willow, 13, and Jameson, 8, visited their dad, capturing a bittersweet moment as they stayed occupied with their devices. "Thanks Willz and Jamo for coming to visit. Gonna rest up this week, and start the healing process," he wrote, noting the need for a few days off to recuperate.
Hart has previously undergone medical procedures, including lower spine disc replacement surgery, for which he also thanked Pink for her unwavering support. The couple, who married in 2006 after a rocky start to their relationship, have navigated their share of ups and downs, but recently credited therapy for strengthening their bond.
Pink has openly praised Hart as her “muse,” highlighting the importance of independent pursuits and mutual support in their lasting marriage. As Hart focuses on recovery, he assures fans that he’ll be back in touch soon, proving that love and resilience flourish even in challenging times.
