Kimpton Unveils New Luxury Hotel in Texas Hill Country

Fredericksburg, TX — Kimpton Hotels, a subsidiary of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced plans for a new development in Texas Hill Country, marking its fourth location in the state. The Kimpton Fredericksburg, set to launch in 2027, will be the centerpiece of The Meuse, a sprawling 22-acre mixed-use development.

Leanne Harwood, IHG’s senior vice president of luxury and lifestyle, expressed enthusiasm for expanding Kimpton’s luxury presence in Texas, noting that the hotel will enhance the area’s hospitality offerings. Located about 90 minutes from Austin and San Antonio, the hotel promises to create memorable experiences for its guests through innovative human-centered hospitality.

Designed by Merriman Anderson Architects and Curioso, the 210-room property will incorporate environmentally conscious architecture, featuring intelligent climate systems and native landscaping. Amenities will include several dining options, a 10,000-square-foot resort-style pool, a fitness center, and a café, alongside more than 18,500 square feet of event space. The venue aims to support weddings, corporate retreats, and other local events, marking it as a unique offering in the region.

As a part of The Meuse, Kimpton Fredericksburg will facilitate easy access to over 70,000 square feet of retail and dining options, enhancing the experience for business and leisure travelers alike. Blake Berg, vice president of DC Partners, emphasized the commitment to honor Fredericksburg’s heritage through this large-scale project.

Kimpton Fredericksburg joins other properties in Texas, further solidifying Kimpton’s brand presence, which includes 79 hotels worldwide and 61 more in the pipeline. This announcement follows last year’s partnership aimed at developing the brand’s first property in Orlando, FL.
