Family Mourns 8-Year-Old Victim in Tragic Dallas Motorcycle Crash
DALLAS – A community is in shock following the loss of an 8-year-old girl, Sirayiah Parson, who was killed in a devastating motorcycle accident on Lancaster Road this past Saturday night.
The tragedy struck when Kevin Eugene Waggoner, 33, lost control of his motorcycle, crashing into Sirayiah and another child as they stood on the sidewalk outside a venue where a baby shower was taking place. The girl’s mother, Tiffany Washington, was catering the event and had briefly stepped inside to check on the food when chaos ensued.
Sirayiah, described as a straight-A student and talented athlete, had just won first place at a track meet the previous week. Washington revealed that her daughter insisted on attending the catering event, a rarity for her children, who typically stayed with relatives. “She is mommy’s girl,” Washington said, recalling Sirayiah’s yearning to be by her side.
The motorcycle accident resulted in Waggoner being pronounced dead at the scene. Another child involved was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and remains hospitalized. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Waggoner’s loss of control is ongoing.
In an emotional interview with FOX 4, Washington expressed her heartbreak over the loss of her daughter, stating, “If she let you in, she would love you with her whole heart.” She also conveyed her gratitude for the support from her community during this painful time.
This tragedy serves as a reminder of the fragility of life, leaving friends and family to cherish the memories of a vibrant young girl who touched many hearts.
