Royal Expert Suggests Princess Diana Would Support Prince Harry’s Candid Interview
In a recent interview with Hello! Magazine’s “A Right Royal Podcast,” royal expert Ingrid Seward posited that Princess Diana might have been proud of her son, Prince Harry, following his revealing BBC News interview. In this much-discussed conversation, the 40-year-old Duke of Sussex spoke openly about his strained relationship with his father, King Charles III, particularly in the context of ongoing legal battles concerning his security while in the U.K.
Prince Harry’s remarks came after a court ruling against reinstating his government-funded security. He expressed his distress over King Charles refusing to communicate with him amid these challenging times. Speaking about reconciliation, Harry stated, “I would love reconciliation with my family… Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Seward, who was closely connected to Diana, suggested that the late princess would admire Harry’s courage in voicing his thoughts, particularly given her own infamous 1995 BBC interview where she expressed her struggles within the royal family.
However, experts such as Richard Fitzwilliams warned that Harry’s candid comments may exacerbate the rift rather than mend it. Fitzwilliams emphasized that the king may perceive Harry as untrustworthy, especially following previous attempts to monetize their royal ties.
Meanwhile, another insider revealed that the relationship between Harry and his brother William is also at a low point, with William avoiding discussions about Harry altogether.
As Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to put their family troubles aside during a recent outing at Beyoncé’s concert, the royal family will likely continue to grapple with these tensions in the weeks to come.
