Texas City Police Join Search for Missing Utah Teen
Texas City police are actively involved in the search for 15-year-old Alisa Petrov, who has been reported missing from South Jordan, Utah, since April 21, 2025. The engagement comes after authorities received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), prompting local law enforcement to step in.
Alisa is described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 122 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing baggy jeans, a gray “Harvard University” T-shirt, a black hoodie, and carrying a dark school backpack. Authorities believe she may have been heading towards Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Texas City Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with its Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Suppression Unit, began their collaboration with South Jordan police on Thursday to enhance the ongoing search efforts.
Law enforcement officials are urging the public to assist in the search. If anyone has seen Alisa or has information regarding her whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact 911 or their local police department immediately.
This case highlights the importance of community involvement in locating missing individuals, especially vulnerable minors. The collaboration between Texas City and Utah authorities underscores a united effort to ensure Alisa’s safe return home.
