Texas Beach Volleyball Shines with Eight All-Academic Honors
AUSTIN, Texas – In a commendable display of academic achievement, the Texas beach volleyball team secured eight selections to the CCSA All-Academic Team, as announced on Thursday. This recognition underscores the dedication of these student-athletes not only on the court but also in their academic pursuits.
To qualify for this prestigious honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, be at least a sophomore, and have completed a full academic year at their institution before the current season. Additionally, they must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s competitions this season.
Texas tied with Florida State for the highest number of honorees in the conference, followed closely by LSU with seven and South Carolina with five. This achievement reflects the strong commitment to both athletic and academic excellence fostered within the Texas beach volleyball program.
