Janelle Brown Reflects on Late Son Garrison’s Impact Amid "Sister Wives" Tribute
In the upcoming episode of TLC’s "Sister Wives," Janelle Brown shares precious memories of her late son, Garrison Brown, who tragically passed away in March 2024 at just 25 years old. During an exclusive sneak peek of the May 11 episode, Janelle reminisces about Garrison’s close relationship with his siblings, particularly his care for younger sister Truely.
“Garrison was always very much involved with the young kids,” Janelle recalls, highlighting Garrison’s nurturing nature through throwback home videos. In a poignant clip, he is seen teaching Truely how to garden, showcasing his love for hands-on activities. Janelle further notes his daily visits to see his half-siblings, Solomon and Ariella, indicating his deep bond with the entire family.
Garrison, born in April 1998, was one of Janelle and Kody Brown’s six children. His death left a profound impact on the family, who are still grappling with their grief. In a previous episode, Kody expressed heartbreak over the loss, stating, “Grief comes in waves. It just wasn’t supposed to be this way.”
Janelle also opened up about Garrison’s struggles with mental health during the pandemic, noting how he turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism. Reflecting on their efforts to support him, she wrote on Instagram, “We did everything we could… sometimes the mind convinces someone there’s no hope, even when all the evidence says otherwise.”
In a heartfelt tribute marking one year since Garrison’s passing, Janelle expressed her gratitude for her family and faith, stating, “I know I’ll be reunited with Garrison one day.” "Sister Wives" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
