Texas NASCAR Xfinity Results: Kyle Larson Races to Overtime Victory

Kyle Larson Clinches Victory in NASCAR Xfinity Series at Texas Motor Speedway

Kyle Larson surged to victory during Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, securing his second win of the season. Driving the No. 88 car for JR Motorsports in a substitute role for the injured Connor Zilisch, who sustained a back injury in a previous race at Talladega, Larson showcased his resilience by overcoming a penalty for an uncontrolled tire on Lap 49.

The race, spanning 208 laps, was marred by caution flags, with 11 stoppages totaling 62 laps and 24 out of 38 cars involved in on-track incidents—setting a record for the most in a Texas Xfinity race. Notably, Justin Allgaier, who led for 99 laps and won a stage, was caught in a collision with Kris Wright, which effectively ended his race early as he finished in 35th place.

Taylor Gray earned a career-best second place, while Riley Herbst rounded out the podium in third. Austin Hill and Sam Mayer completed the top five, highlighting a competitive finish among the remaining drivers.

The stage winners included Allgaier in Stage 1 and Hill in Stage 2, reflecting the intense competition throughout the event.

As the NASCAR Xfinity Series moves forward, fans can look forward to the next race scheduled for May 24 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, starting at 4:30 p.m. ET, which will air on the CW Network. This thrilling victory at Texas not only underscores Larson’s talent but also sets the stage for an exciting continuation of the season.
