DENTON, Texas – The Denton Police Department is currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex located in the 900 block of Ave A, near the University of North Texas campus.
Authorities were alerted just after 6 a.m. when a 911 caller reported gunfire in an apartment. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious male with a gunshot wound outside the unit. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by both police and medics, the individual was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
