A third alarm was sounded in far east Dallas early Tuesday morning as heavy flames were seen burning through the roof of a three-story apartment building on John West Road. Dallas Fire-Rescue crews arrived around 4 a.m. to find large flames and heavy smoke coming through the roof, prompting a third alarm to be called. Approximately 12 units were damaged in the fire, but thankfully no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and it remains unclear how many residents have been displaced. The information in this article comes from Dallas Fire-Rescue and FOX 4 Terry Van Sickle.
