Gunpoint Robbery Results in Theft of Fort Worth Woman’s Wedding Ring


A woman in Fort Worth was robbed of her wedding ring at gunpoint over the weekend, leaving residents in the Tanglewood Community on high alert. The robbery occurred on Monday around 6 a.m. on Overton Park Drive, where a suspect armed with a gun accosted two women who were jogging. One of the women managed to escape, but the other was forced to give up her wedding ring, valued at $7,000.

Local resident Calli Galati, who has lived in the area for four years, expressed her shock at the incident, stating that it has shaken her sense of safety in the neighborhood. Fort Worth Police Officer Buddy Calzada confirmed that they are investigating the robbery and have reached out to residents with RING cameras for any information. The suspect is described as tall, around six feet, wearing all black clothing and with his face covered.

The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robbery to come forward to help in the investigation. The Fort Worth Police Department is continuing to review surveillance footage from the area and is working to ensure the safety of residents in the Tanglewood Community.
