Matthew Golden, Texas wide receiver, to visit Dallas Cowboys on Thursday

Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden has been making the rounds, visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday and set to meet with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports that Golden is a top contender to be the first receiver drafted, along with Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan.

The Cowboys, who hold the 12th overall pick, are in need of a No. 2 receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb. It is expected that they will target a player at the position early in the upcoming draft later this month.

Golden had an impressive junior season at Texas, recording 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. Prior to transferring to Texas, he spent two seasons at the University of Houston, where he tallied 76 catches for 988 yards and 13 touchdowns.

One of Golden’s standout performances was running a 4.29 in the 40-yard dash during the combine, showcasing his speed and agility on the field. With his impressive stats and skills, Golden is definitely a player to watch as teams gear up for the NFL draft.

Stay tuned as the NFL draft approaches to see where Matthew Golden lands and how he continues to make waves in the football world.
