Former “The Bachelor” star Sean Lowe recently shared a harrowing experience in an Instagram video about being attacked by his newly adopted dog Moose on two separate occasions within 12 hours, resulting in him needing to go to the ER and fearing for his life. Lowe revealed that Moose, a rescue dog they welcomed into their family in January, unexpectedly turned violent and attacked him causing severe injuries and requiring stitches. Despite the traumatic events, Lowe expressed gratitude that he was the one attacked and that his wife and children were safe.
Lowe detailed the events of the attacks, during which he described feeling like he was fighting for his life against his own dog and trying to control Moose long enough for help to arrive. The reality star emphasized that Moose had never shown signs of aggression before and attributed the behavior to trauma and a neurological issue the dog had.
After the attacks, Lowe and his wife had to make the difficult decision to rehome Moose for safety reasons. They reached out to animal control and the adoption agency to find a suitable solution. Lowe also highlighted the importance of being transparent about the incident on social media and thanked those who helped him during the attacks.
Despite the emotional toll, Lowe expressed appreciation for Moose as a good dog and emphasized the need for a safe environment for his family. The couple’s decision to rehome Moose was made with the safety of their children in mind, as they reflected on the potential dangers of the violent behavior displayed by the once-lovable boxer.
