The No. 3 Florida softball team suffered defeats in a doubleheader against No. 2 Texas on Saturday. The Longhorns secured a 7-2 victory in game one and then came from behind to win 13-7 in game two, clinching the series. Florida’s record now stands at 27-4 for the season, with a 2-3 record in the SEC. Senior Kendra Falby led the Gators with three hits and three runs, extending her on-base streak to 31 games and hitting streak to 17. Junior Jocelyn Erickson contributed three RBIs in game two. Florida struggled defensively, giving up four home runs and 18 earned runs while committing four errors.
