Man from Fort Worth receives a 50-year sentence for wife’s body found wrapped in tarp

Fort Worth man, Christopher Robertson, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 50 years in prison after admitting to shooting his wife, Kristlynne Robertson, in the face. Her body was found wrapped in a tarp in their home a week later. The incident occurred on April 19, 2024, when Fort Worth police were called to the scene and discovered Kristlynne’s body. Christopher Robertson’s brother found him intoxicated in his room with Kristlynne wrapped in a tarp. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner determined that Kristlynne had been shot in the head.

Robertson, who was too intoxicated to speak with police initially, called 911 the next day and confessed to the murder. He later admitted to police that he shot his wife and expressed a desire to go to jail. The couple had five children together. Robertson was sentenced on Thursday and has been in the Tarrant County Jail since April 21, 2024. The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the arrest affidavit for Christopher Robertson provided information for this article.

Assistant District Attorney Riley Reynolds stated that Robertson left five children without a mother. The case highlights the tragic consequences of domestic violence and the impact on families. The community mourns the loss of Kristlynne Robertson and hopes that justice will bring some closure to her loved ones.
