Three arrests have been made in the murder case of Torrance Deveroex, the son of a Dallas County constable, which was featured in FOX 4’s Trackdown series. Deandre Williams, Kendrick Perry, and Roderick Danby have all been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of Deveroex back in February. Police executed a search warrant for Williams on Wednesday and found a gun believed to be used in the crime, while Danby and Perry were arrested on Thursday. Police have not yet released details about what led them to the three suspects. Deveroex, a former honor student and football player, was shot and killed at his home in Irving in the early hours of February 23. Surveillance footage showed three young men shooting and killing him through the door, and they were later seen leaving in a dark-colored sedan. The case garnered attention due to Deveroex’s background and involvement in mentoring and coaching youth. The Trackdown series, hosted by Fox 4’s Shaun Rabb, has helped police make 193 arrests through viewer tips. The series airs every Wednesday on Fox 4 and episodes are available online. The arrests in the Deveroex case highlight the importance of community involvement in solving crime.
