Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for approximately 61,500 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Water in 12 states, including Texas. The recall was initiated due to the potential for cracked or damaged bottles that could pose a safety risk to consumers. Specifically, the recall affects 750 ml size bottles that were sold in containers of a dozen each. The glass bottles were sold at Trader Joe’s stores between December 2024 and January 2025, with lot codes of 11/28/2024 L or 11/27/2024 L.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the recalled bottles. The issue was discovered during research into bottle breaking during production. Trader Joe’s is urging customers who purchased the recalled bottles to carefully dispose of them and visit a Trader Joe’s location for a refund.
Consumers who have purchased the affected Gerolsteiner Sparkling Water are encouraged to check the lot codes on the bottles and take appropriate action if their purchase is part of the recall. Trader Joe’s is working to ensure the safety of its customers and to prevent any potential injuries related to the defective bottles.
