Adiah Roberson, a 17-year-old girl accused of fatally shooting a fast-food restaurant manager in Bexar County, Texas, has been apprehended after a three-month search by authorities. The arrest took place in North Texas without incident on Oct. 22 by U.S. Marshalls.
Roberson was wanted for murder in the shooting death of 33-year-old Daniel Shrewsbury at a Sonic Drive-In in San Antonio on July 7. The incident occurred after an altercation where Roberson attempted to pay with counterfeit money, leading to Shrewsbury’s involvement. He was shot in the chest and later died at the scene.
Despite a warrant for her arrest, Roberson had managed to evade law enforcement until her recent capture. She was also wanted for forgery of a government document. Roberson has been booked into the Dallas County Jail on a $520,000 bond.
The swift action of authorities in capturing Roberson has brought some closure to the tragic incident that took place at the Sonic Drive-In.
