Philadelphia has unveiled a new circular video “Portal” at Love Park, which will livestream 24/7 to other countries. The installation was originally in New York City and features streams to Dublin, Vilnius, and Lublin. Another portal is planned for Brazil. Despite a crack in the screen, officials assure that it will be fixed soon. The goal of the Portals project is to connect the world through art, with more installations planned globally. The creator, Benediktas Gylys, emphasizes that Portals are a network meant to bridge different countries and unite the planet. The portal will remain in Love Park until November 7 before moving to a new location in the city. The initiative has been well-received and aims to foster global connections through innovative technology and art.
