North Texas teenagers journey to Florida to assist with hurricane recovery efforts

Three North Texas teenagers, Brett Chasteen, JP Sims, and Josh Damian, recently made a selfless trip to Central Florida to assist in the recovery efforts following recent hurricanes. Through fundraising on social media, the trio managed to raise money to cover expenses for the trip. Once in Florida, they worked tirelessly to help those affected by the disasters, including cutting away trees, removing debris, and distributing water to those in need.

Their efforts did not go unnoticed, as they were met with gratitude and appreciation from the local community. The teens encountered individuals overwhelmed by the destruction, such as one woman whose home was impacted by a massive fallen tree. With their expertise and hard work, the three friends were able to provide valuable assistance and support to those they encountered.

Chasteen, Sims, and Damian, who each run their own small businesses in the Burleson and Granbury area, are no strangers to hard work. Their willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need showcases their dedication to serving others and making a positive impact. Despite the challenges faced in the aftermath of the hurricanes, the teens remained committed to their mission of providing aid and support to those affected.

After witnessing the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the group targeted the Sarasota County area, where thousands were without power and faced significant damage. Their trip to Florida was a true testament to their altruism and desire to give back to those in need. As they make their way back home, Chasteen, Sims, and Damian can be proud of the difference they made in the lives of those affected by the hurricanes in Central Florida.
