A tragic late-night shooting in East Arlington has left a 27-year-old man dead, and police are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help solve the case. The incident took place on Sunday, Oct. 13, at an apartment complex near East Pioneer Pkwy. and Sherry Street, where multiple gunshots were reported. The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside his SUV parked in the complex’s lot, and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Authorities believe the shooting occurred while the victim was driving through the parking lot, as his SUV was left in drive with bullet holes. Despite the evidence of drug activity at the scene, no suspects have been identified and no witnesses have come forward. The Arlington Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Stafford at (817) 459-5739, or to remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at (817) 469-8477.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once his next of kin has been notified.
