Girl missing since 2005 identified as victim in CO freezer; head and hands found

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office identified Amanda Leariel Overstreet as the girl whose body parts were found in a freezer earlier this year in Grand Junction, Colorado. Overstreet had not been seen since 2005 and was the biological daughter of the home’s previous owners. The body parts were discovered when the current owners of the home, who are unrelated to the case, tried to give away the freezer. The house had been recently sold and remodeled before the body parts were found. The investigation into Overstreet’s disappearance is ongoing.
