Smith, who had just dropped his family off at his mother’s house, was one of four people killed in the collision. His partner, Naotassja Calloway, described him as a hard worker who always put his family first and adored his children. Calloway expressed her disbelief and grief over the loss of Smith, emphasizing that he was a caring and protective father. The crash occurred when a car traveling northbound collided with another vehicle, causing it to cross the median into southbound traffic. Smith’s red Jeep was one of the vehicles that hit the initial crash, resulting in his tragic death. In addition to Smith, three people in another car also lost their lives in the accident.
The Dallas community is mourning the loss of Smith and the other victims of the crash. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified two of the other victims as Sergio Perdomo-Bautista and Oscar Garca-Peraza.
