Former President Donald Trump recently spoke at a rally in Pennsylvania, referring to his speaking style as “the weave” where he talks about multiple topics that come together brilliantly. In a press conference, he railed against women who accused him of sexual assault and criticized his lawyers for appealing a $5 million jury award in a defamation case. The event was not covered in full by most media outlets, and Trump did not take questions.
The press conference came after Trump appealed a civil jury verdict in a case where he was accused of sexually abusing and defaming a writer. He also brought up past allegations of sexual misconduct, some of which were not allowed to be mentioned in the court case. Trump denied ever meeting one of the accusers and criticized his lawyers for not bringing up evidence that he claimed would exonerate him.
During the press conference, Trump reiterated his denial of the allegations and criticized his legal team for not using a famous dress as evidence in the case. The judge had previously rejected a last-minute offer from Trump’s legal team to provide DNA evidence. Carroll’s lawyers had been seeking Trump’s DNA to compare to stains found on the dress she wore during the alleged assault.
