Joe Oltmann, a Colorado conservative activist, is facing fines of $1,000 a day for withholding evidence related to his claims of election rigging made in 2020. Oltmann made claims about an “Antifa conference call” where a Dominion Voting Systems employee allegedly suggested rigging the election in Biden’s favor. Despite being subpoenaed, Oltmann has not provided any evidence to support his accusations. He has also refused to reveal the identity of the person who gave him access to private information. Oltmann left a deposition, leading to the judge ordering him to pay attorney’s fees and costs incurred by the other party. In addition to the fines, Oltmann has to pay $1,000 a day until he complies with court orders, which he has repeatedly ignored and boasted about on his podcast. Oltmann is associated with FEC United and has been involved in efforts related to the “Stop the Steal” campaign surrounding the 2020 election. He has staged protests and spoken against election results in Arizona, where he is based. Coomer, the former Dominion Voting Systems employee, is also suing other parties, including former President Donald Trump, for defamation related to the election claims.
