A horrific incident occurred in Lamar County, Texas, as Edgar Bridgemon, 24, was arrested for attempted capital murder after making his 4-month-old son drink gasoline in an attempt to kill him. The Paris Police Department responded to an emergency call on Pine Bluff Street on August 10th and found the infant in distress. Bridgemon admitted to intentionally feeding the baby gasoline, leading to his arrest. Despite trying to flee, he was captured a block away and taken into custody. He is currently held at the Lamar County Jail on a $255,000 bond.
